NiceDay is proud to announce its collaboration with two respected Brazilian partner organizations, CEIA and DM Health, for the visionary Globalstars PERSIST project. This international consortium aims to revolutionise mental healthcare by integrating AI-based technologies to enhance data-supported treatments. At the core, these technologies focus on personalised psychoeducation content recommendations and AI-assisted coaching tasks to reinforce therapist efficiency and client engagement.
A Global Vision with International Partnerships
At the heart of this collaboration is the intent to assess and expand the effectiveness of data-supported treatment in Brazil using NiceDay’s proven methodologies. Supported by the European programme Globalstars from Eureka, and funded by the Dutch funding body RVO, this venture stands at the intersection of technology, mental well-being, and international cooperation.
A Glimpse into the Technologies
The PERSIST project will leverage NiceDay’s extensive psychoeducation content library through a novel psychoeducation recommender system. This AI-driven system aims to provide therapists and their clients with the most relevant educational content tailored to individual diagnoses and therapy stages.
Additionally, the project will introduce automated therapy-assistive coaching tasks. This is geared towards improving therapist efficiency, thus enabling them to support more clients while ensuring that clients remain engaged throughout their treatment journey.
CEIA’s Visit to NiceDay
Highlighting the collaborative spirit of this initiative, NiceDay recently had the honour of hosting a visit from the CEIA team, led by Professors Arlindo Galvão and Rafael Teixeira Sousa, in August 2023. This meeting in Rotterdam facilitated a deeper understanding of the AI-based technologies and recommendation systems that will be foundational to the PERSIST project.
During their visit, both teams gained invaluable insights. The day was marked by discussions about NiceDay’s services, an introduction to the dedicated team behind the scenes, and brainstorming sessions that promise to shape the future direction of this project.
Looking Ahead
Launching in April 2023, the PERSIST project is set to unfold over the ensuing two years. The teams will focus on designing and developing prototypes, seamlessly integrating advanced AI technologies with NiceDay’s well-established data-supported treatment methods, and exploring the potential of NiceDay in the Brazilian market. Mental healthcare organizations already partnered with NiceDay, along with their therapists, eagerly anticipate the transformative results of this research collaboration. Extending beyond this group, the wider global community keenly awaits the anticipated advancements emerging from this synergistic partnership.
