NiceDay Netherlands is working together with NeLL (National eHealth Living Lab) on various studies to innovate and improve mental health care. NeLL and NiceDay have a shared motivation: a personal treatment for the client in a way that suits them, online or blended. But also an efficient and effective treatment, for a smooth trajectory for both therapist and client.

Research

We regularly receive feedback, testimonials and data from our users. This feedback is used to improve NiceDay’s service and product. We go into discussions with experts and users and continue to optimize. But we also contribute to scientific research into the effectiveness of (online) treatment enhanced by technology.

In collaboration with NeLL, we’re working on the following studies:

• BePositive: 

In collaboration with PsyQ, this study examines the effectiveness of online treatment for depression, which is offered via the NiceDay app and according to the NiceDay way of working. During this study, treatment in the consultation room is compared with online treatment. LUMC and NeLL are involved in using the right methodology and data collection.

• Kansen voor West:

A study in which the NiceDay service is tested, demonstrated and validated, both scientifically and in terms of effectiveness.

• Perfect fit: 

In this research NiceDay and the NiceDay communication API are used for a project of LUMC and NeLL. Together they are working on the development of an automated coach that can help people stop smoking and exercise more. The highly personalized and flexible coach offers accessible support at any time.

Future

We are eager to continue our research collaboration with NeLL in the future. There are many more topics we would like to explore, such as data-driven treatment approaches, improving therapist workflow, accurately measuring client progress, and optimizing treatment. Important research, all of which contribute to better treatment.
